Sandra qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 2002 and became a licensed insolvency practitioner in 2005. Prior to establishing McAlister & Co in 2007, Sandra enjoyed a successful career with a leading national Insolvency firm. Working predominantly within the corporate insolvency sector Sandra has over 20 years experience and handles all aspects of business rescue and Insolvency.
Sandra is the former Chairman of the ACCA network panel for Swansea and West Wales.

Simon is a certified chartered accountant and licensed insolvency practitioner with extensive experience advising companies and individuals on insolvency, recovery and turnaround solutions. Simon heads our Cardiff office.

Huw joined McAlister & Co in December 2011 and has over thirty years experience in recovery and insolvency, gained mostly with top ten UK firms. He set up and leads the South West practice. He is an Associate Member of R3.
Huw has extensive experience of working with under-performing businesses and those facing closure across a range of sectors, including manufacturing and engineering, hotels and leisure and property, using voluntary arrangement and administration processes to effect business turnarounds and, where necessary, providing sympathetic, practical advice and support to directors of companies facing liquidation.
Huw is firmly committed to saving businesses and jobs wherever possible and will always work with clients to achieve the optimum solution to a problem. As part of McAlister & Co, Huw can provide this advice in a direct and cost effective way not always available in larger firms.

After passing the BAR in 1999, Helen qualified as a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in 2005. Helen heads our Shrewsbury office providing a local contact in the Shropshire and West Midlands areas. Helen brings a wealth of experience in corporate recovery and has assisted many directors in successfully restructuring their company’s. Whilst realising that liquidation is unavoidable for some, options are always available for companies with a viable future.
